Professional certificate
Professional certificates are credit-bearing Furman graduate courses available to non-degree learners seeking to enhance skills and knowledge for career growth. These courses can also count toward a graduate certificate or master’s degree.*
Graduate certificate
Graduate certificates are a program of study requiring four to six credit-bearing Furman graduate courses (12–18 credits) in a specific area of focus. They provide advanced skills, appear on transcripts as recognized academic credentials, and can be stacked toward the completion of a master’s degree.*
Master’s degree
Apply a professional certificate course or graduate certificate toward a master’s program—such as the Master of Science in Innovation and Leadership, Master of Arts in Strategic Design, or Master of Arts in Advocacy and Social Policy—reducing the number of courses you’ll need to complete your degree.*
