Community Impact
The Riley Institute is hosting the 16th Annual Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award Celebration on April 30, 2026 from 12:00–1:30 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, S.C. This annual event recognizes exceptional programs that are making a meaningful impact on public education across South Carolina.
This year’s winner, Kids on Point, will be recognized alongside finalists Summer SOAR from Richland County School District One and the Darlington County Office of Career Readiness. Each program highlights innovative approaches to supporting student success, from preventing summer learning loss to preparing students for life beyond graduation through real-world experiences.
The Riley Institute also extends its appreciation to the sponsors supporting this year’s celebration, as well as South Carolina ETV for producing videos featuring the finalists. Join us in celebrating the programs driving positive change in education across the state.
